In the fifth season, Raven and Booker temporarily relocate to Raven's hometown of San Francisco to care for Raven's father Victor after he suffers a mild heart attack. While Raven tries to get her father back in shape, Booker must navigate his mother's old school with the help of some new friends and his younger cousin Alice. The authenticity they bring through their life experience makes it a more genuine portrayal. While the character of Isabella did OK with a wheelchair, that chair was obviously not fit to her.
“People treat people with disabilities like they were babies,” she said. In the show, everyone treats Isabella with dignity and respect, like an equal. Not only do other students treat her differently, some teachers do as well. I have three girls who enjoy watching Disney Channel, so when we watched the latest episode of “Raven’s Home,” titled “Head Over Wheels,” it especially caught our attention.

Raven secures social influence Lil Z to appear at the launch of her fashion show, but the kids compromise everything when they use Lil Z's name to sell raffle tickets without his permission. Booker and Nia are excited to be named student ambassadors of their school, until they learn that their first job is to welcome Mitch as a new student. Encouraged by her twins, Raven finally begins seriously pursuing the possibility of achieving the job of her dreams by seeking out an assistant--preferably an unpaid one. When the new building manager accuses someone of tagging the side of their building, Raven thinks Tess is responsible.
Additionally, newcomers Mykal-Michelle Harris, Felix Avitia, and Emmy Liu-Wang joined as Alice, Neil and Ivy, respectively, and Rondell Sheridan would return as Raven's father Victor Baxter. Adrienne Bailon also returned as Alana Rivera, Raven's high school bully in the original series. On February 10, 2022, it was announced that the fifth season would premiere on March 11, 2022. He is very mature for his age and often acts as the parent in his relationship with his mother. Levi is Booker's best friend and is aware of his psychic abilities. So Disney, if you have any shows with a disabled character — and I hope as a mom of two kids with disabilities that you have many more — please consider accurate representation and casting kids with disabilities.

Jonathan McDaniel as Devon Carter (season 1–4), Raven's ex-husband and the father of Booker and Nia who works as a meteorologist. He was Raven's boyfriend in high school and is now aware of Raven's abilities.
For anyone who thinks this is not a big deal, both my girls were quite disappointed that the girl playing Isabella was not actually disabled. Disney Channel renewed the series for a second season on October 10, 2017, which began filming in November 2017. Additionally, starting with the second season, Michael Feldman and Dava Savel replaced Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas as showrunners.
Her “ease” using a wheelchair was not the ease of a child who is actually disabled and has been using a chair for years. In this episode, Levi, one of the main characters in the show, has a crush on Isabella and invites her over to his apartment. Isabella never shows up and the next day Levi finds out it is because she was unable to access the building. Raven's Home and Cory in the House (2 That's So Raven spinoffs) have produced a total of 34 episodes across two seasons each, putting the two spinoffs in a tie. Though, Raven's Home will now produce more episodes than Cory in the House because of the third season pickup.Cory in the House's first season got 21 episodes while Raven's Home's first season got 13 episodes.
Dylan Martin Frankel as Mitch , the son of 352 Hauser Avenue's new owner Richard Moseley who runs the apartment while his father is busy. In the episode, we find out the building does have a hidden elevator, but the building manager refuses to make the elevator accessible to everyone. She said people don’t really see her the same, and the show did not show an accurate portrayal of what it is like to be disabled in school.
